In my day job as a home health nurse, I’m always checking out the photographs people keep in their homes. I’m amazed by the really old photographs, some as much as 100 years. The best legacy you can leave for you family is photographs. That’s way extended family portraits are so amazing. Three or four generations in a photograph is an wonderful experience and a tangible heirloom to enjoy with your family, even after new generations arrive.
I loved this session because it took place in early spring, before many of the trees had leaves. The bright, pastel outfits really embodied the feel of early spring. If you’re not sure about what to wear for you portrait session, check out my Pinterest page or this Blog Post which have lots of options for each season.
The children were so excited to take their “cousins” picture all together. Not only can you take a portrait of the whole family together, but also break the family down into as small groups as you can think of. Each family can have their own, the children together, just the girls, adult siblings, the possibilites are endless!
